Support for New England Junior Athletes at USA Cycling National Championship Events
The New England Bicycle Racing Association is proud to offer support for New England based Juniors in their ambitions to participate in National Championship Events in 2026. This program is aimed to support juniors (racing age 18 and under) with race and travel expenses to attend a National Championship.
Key Information:
- NEBRA will offer a $250 grant to 8 juniors annually
- Grants can be used to cover travel expense and race entry fees
- One grant will be awarded per applicant per calendar year
- Riders are encouraged to fill out the application on their own, with their parent’s guidance and review before submission
Application Process:
Applications will be accepted starting at the beginning of each calendar year and awarded approximately 6 weeks prior to each national championship. Interested junior racers shall submit their application to the NEBRA Board of Directors via a google form link at the end of this page.
Applications must be submitted prior to each decision deadline (below) to guarantee review.
Applications after each deadline will not be considered.
Selection and Award Process:
- Applications will be reviewed by the NEBRA BOD at a monthly meeting prior to each national championship. BOD meetings happen on the First (1st) Monday of each month. The 2026 deadlines will be as follows:
- Road Elite Junior (17-18) (June 17-21): May Meeting
- Road 16 and Under Juniors (June 27-July 1): May Meeting
- XC MTB Nationals (July 13-19): June Meeting
- Cyclocross Nationals (December 9-13): November Meeting
- Recipients will be decided based on the quality and authenticity of their answers at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors
- Recipients will be notified of their grant shortly after each award period closes.
- Funds will be dispersed approximately 1 week after to each national championship, unless special circumstances are determined. Recipients should be prepared to provide receipts to the BOD upon request.
