Grant FAQ

Who can apply for grants?

Grants are available to NEBRA members (clubs or standalone race directors) who attend the annual NEBRA Promoters Summit and to USA Cycling licensed officials from the New England region.

Individuals may apply for development grants for programs that target a specific segment of the NEBRA community such as race Officials, Women or Junior racers etc.

What is the application process?

To apply for a NEBRA Grant please send a request via email to board@nebra.us detailing the amount requested, target audience and the goals for the grant funding. The specific details of program expensed the grant funding will cover should also be included. Grant requests should be received by the Board at least 4 weeks prior to the event.

How and when are grants paid?

All grants are designed to be reimbursements for specific program expenses. For example the Moto grants are specifically for the additional insured costs and the daily officials pay. For something like a development grant we would as that funds be allocated for specific expenses that can be verified with receipts.

Does NEBRA support individual athletes or teams?

NEBRA will help individuals and teams publicize fundraising efforts and help facilitate fundraising but does not specifically support individual athletes or teams with grants. With limited funds and the intention to use those funds for the big picture development of cycling in New England our priorities are for funding programs rather than people.
